We had an unexpectedly enjoyable walk around this garden. It's well laid out with subtle way-marks, leading you from points 1- 33 (short cuts are marked). It is very steep in some places (with steep stone steps) so a walking pole comes in handy. Lots...More

Perthshire is well known as "big tree country" and at Cluny Gardens, this is no exaggeration. It is home to a gigantic redwood with the largest circumference of any tree in the country. This was a planned trip on our way home from a very...More

We went with the lure of snowdrops, we discovered an amazing garden of trees and wildlife. Even though everything was bare it was still very beautiful and allowed you to appreciate the trees for their structural beauty. Well worth a visit. Email Wendy with an...More

I have never seen so many Red Squirrels in my life, nor so close before. They really aren't too fussed at all. The gardens are quite compact but jam-packed with the love and care lavished upon it by its caretakers with some outstanding specimens in...More

The garden is quite a way from either Dunkeld or Aberfeldy but the trip along a single track road is fabulous. The car park is small but enough room when we arrived. The garden has an honesty box for the £5 per person and a...More

This compact hillside garden is full of unusual woodland plants and superb trees. The red squirrels at their feeder by the car park were really tame and fascinating to watch them so close by. Dogs are welcome on leads. The walk takes about half an...More

I think they are if I remember rightly. I'm sure it said something on the board at entrance that dogs are allowed but must be kept on a lead. I may be wrong though I'm afraid. you may be able to find out online where.
