We perform checks on reviews.
Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

I live quite close so it is always a relaxing experience to walk through the park.Plenty of green space, children's play area, tennis courts X 4, the lake and opportunities to feed the ducks. Don't feed them bread as it is bad for them!! Dogs are allowed I believe but must be kept on a lead and any dog litter must be lifted, that way it keeps the place clean for us all. Very peaceful setting looking out over the lake. Visit the council run centre on site to see more.

I’ve been here a few times and it’s absolutely amazing. Play area for kids . Divided in two. One for very young and one for older children. Coffee and tea can be purchased from a machine.
There’s a large lake and plenty of ducks, geese and swans. Seeds-can be bought in the shop for the birds etc.

A beautiful park given to the town, for the benefit of its inhabitants, full of children playing laughing and enjoying the sunshine. Fed the ducks in the Pavillion and had a very knowledgeable discussion with Mararet who gave great onsite information. You can play tennis, football, outdoor gym, watch the world go past and all for free!!!

I was here today with my 3 daughters.. my oldest daughter ho is 9 she said daddy I have to use the toilets.. so I took her over to the main doors were the toilets are placed.. she tryed the doors but they were locked.. I looked at the window and there was a poster than said closed for cleaning. So we waited 10 mins or more! I said to my daughter go for walk it will take your mind off the toilets for a few mins . We came back and a park worker came walking passed with the key's in his hands to open the door.. I said are the toilets open again?? He said no there are closed for today. I said it said on the window there where closed for cleaning.. he opened the doors I said my daughter really needs to use the toilets.. he never let on he heard me😡😡 closed the doors and locked them up and walked away.. 😡😡 😡.. disgraceful behaviour..

Nice park with tennis courts, new playground, duck pond etc.
The paths for walking could be improved.
New park is great with accessible options and apparatus for little ones and bigger kids. Beautifully laid out. It could be better though. Toilets aren’t always available and often the experience is soured by teenagers messing with kids play equipment it sitting around smoking.
It has a lot to offer and great potential but could be managed better.

The 12 acre People’s Park is a Victorian communal area walking distance from Ballymena’s town centre. The Park was where families took their children to play when I was a child. Today, 50 years later not much has changed. With little budget from the council to properly maintain the park to a standard expected for today’s families, The Peoples Park is OK for dog walkers (very short walks) but that’s about it.

It has a Children’s play area and a pond where you can feed birds but to be frankly honest, that’s about it. The park also has a vandalised statue which just looks forgotten and a pond-facing board-walk which has been closed to the general public for a number of years due to much needed maintenance which Mid & East Antrim Borough Council have never gotten round to repairing.

There’s probably more weed than grass in places and rotten leaves everywhere though Autumn and Winter. The People’s Park is very much faded glory, Ballymena rates payers deserve much more.

I would recommend driving 20 minutes down the road to Antrim Castle Grounds and Park, Antrim. Here you will see what a proper communal, People’s Park should look like.

This is a lovely park, well looked after, with a beautiful lake, staff are friendly and take great pride in this park. I've been taken my kids here for years on good days if we are around the area, my youngest is now 23 ha !! We would buy chips from the chippy in town, eat them on the picnic benches and have a wonder around and finish with an ice cream bought from the ice cream van which is usually parked up,

Large spacious park with all you really need . Picturesque green hilly areas with paths and trees. Children’s play area from very young to about early teens . Fitness equipment and picnic areas with the odd historic monument. Also some modern exhibits associated with the ‘apple’. Tennis courts payable plus football area. Of course there is also the scenic park dam with wildfowl. No cafe unfortunately but there are vending machines. Adequate off road car parking and the ice cream van is always there. Walking distance from Ballymena town centre.

The Peoples Park is a beautiful park with entrance from the Doury Road and Ballymoney Road. The park has a pavilion wher duck food can be purchased but watch out for pigeons when feeding ducks. The lake has swans and ducks currently. One can purchase hot liquids and crisps etc.from vending machine.Excellent play facilities are free for young children and if you feel up to it you can play tennis or have a game of grass bowls.
There are many species of trees and you can enjoy a pleasant walk around the park.
