Situated in Candice gardens, which themselves are well worth a visit. Nice small museum well laid out showing the history of Guernsey. Large cafe area with nice views over St Petersport. Small shop.

It’s a good museum with some excellent interactive exhibits but it didn’t really have what we were looking for eg information on the growth of Guernsey. The Victor Hugo exhibition was very good.

Thoughtfully and imaginatively arranged and very good for a quick overview of the history of Guernsey. The tea room looked nice!

The museum is always worth a visit. It is in a lovely position high up in St Peter Port in Candie Gardens looking out to sea. There is a Victor Hugo exhibition on now, but not for much longer. I had not realised what a...More

Interesting Victor Hugo exhibition and some attractive paintings and artworks. Well presented museum exhibits. Certainly worth a visit if you need a wet weather activity. The cafe was decent as well and, contrary to a previous reviewer, we found the staff perfectly polite.

Very mediocre both paintings and exhibits compared to other small island facilities. The Star Wars was a special exhibit but not very good either! Disappointing.More

If you are interested in art this is a great place to visit, but for the entry fee I was rather disappointed in the history section. The Victor Hugo special exhibition partly made up for not being able to see his house (which is literally...More

Always something different each year we visit. What stood out this year was an excellent display on Victor Hugo and his life. There are also other rooms in the museum that exhibit many other different works of art etc., and are beautifully presented. Whilst a...More

This is a purpose -built museum chiefly devoted to the history of Guernsey. The story of the island is related using a number of artefacts dating back to well before Roman times. Another, more unusual, gallery presents information about the legends and folklore of the...More

And don't forget Victoria Tower and the German Naval Signals Bunker! Both places are within 5 minutes walk of Candie and highly recommended. Thank you so much for your thorough write up. You have just about covered everything, I believe, except that the Collecting the...More

An interesting mix of exhibitions on display, from folklore to art and a restoration video. Nice coffee shop.
