Candie Gardens is one of our favourite places on the island and we're regular visitors to the museum thanks to our Discovery Pass, which is a must for locals and such great value. We like to make use of the Discovery Room on rainy days...More

A really first rate small museum, offering an insight into Guernsey life, culture and history. I visited on a quiet day, and virtually had the museum to myself. Staff are most helpful and attentive. I thoroughly enjoyed my short visit and intend to return soon.

The museum and gallery has a very homely feel with interesting exhibits. The staff were very helpful about the museum itself and the island, more so in fact than the actual information centre in the town. Well worth a visit.

If hadn't been raining we would have taken the extensive gardens in at the same time, however not at all disappointed with the quality and breadth of the exhibits available to view.

Hello, I'm so sorry you felt your visit was not value for money. I can only assume you visited us on a changeover day when two of our main galleries were closed. This has to happen at the end of one exhibition when it is...More

Plenty of background to the development of the island and the people culture. We went for the Victor Hugo exhibition which gave a good insight into his life and art. Charge to get in. Good cafe.

This is a nice eclectic mix of exhibits, presented in a thoughtful and thought-provoking way. The art gallery leads the visitor through a timeline of local and internal art with a brilliant explanation of the evolution from realism through to 'modern' art. We both enjoyed...More
