Visited on a wet and windy day. Warmly greeted by the lady in the shop. Very well layed out with lots of information to cover the whole of the castle's history. Lovely views too.

Well worth buying the pass which meant we could return another day to see everything. Ideal for sunny or wet weather as interesting museums and lots to discover outside too. Arrive in time to witness the firing of the Canon at noon each day!

Great choice of small museums and really proud guided tour of the battlements. Handy cafe and you have the added bonus of the 12 noon gun being fired.

Yes you do have to pay, but it's quite a nice walk down and there are lovely views back towards the town and out to sea.
