Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Mullaghmore Head was everything the brochures said it would be. Easy to find. Plenty of areas to stop off and enjoy the vistas. I had expected some sort of visitor center or main parking lot, with restrooms. But, if there is one, we never found it.

We were there on an exceptionally beautiful day. The area is windy, due to its close proximity to the sea. The cliffs are relatively easy to walk along, but I had walking sticks just to be sure to have good footing. The grass is long and damp and could easily lead to slipping.

It seems that a lot of people choose to just park their cars/caravans, anywhere, then go out for a walk. We were fortunate to find some areas where there were no automobiles to restrict the beautiful views. The road pretty much goes in a loop, so you really can't get lost.

Magical - a dreamy stretch of coast, really invites you to linger for hours, great photo spots, easy to reach by car, parking spaces available.

Recommended in the evening when the weather is good, just keep your camera and look towards the west. Nothing can go wrong.

There is something magical about Mullaghmore, a very pretty Victorian type seaside village, it is colourful and welcoming. The harbour wall is impressive and quite different to other harbours around the Irish coast, it needs to be as the headland just out into the Atlantic Ocean. There is fabulous contrast as you head west from the village, you look north and see the whole south coast of County Donegal and then around the rocky shoreline you see Classiebawn Castle predominant on its hillside.

Beautiful beach and lovely cliff walk.
However the only restaurant in town was closed until Wed (we arrived on Monday) and even then only serves Takeaway.
Hotel on main street closed and 2nd Hotel did not serve anything until 12 noon
We went into the small supermarket and had Takeaway Coffee & Muffins.

So sad to see Mullaghmore like this with no services. People told us there is no footfall anymore.

To be honest I couldn't get enough of Mullaghmore. I nearly spent an entire day there but literally wished I could spend some more time here. The next time I visit this place I'll make sure to book a BnB right in front of the Mullaghmore beach to get the stunning view of the mountains.
Make sure to try some yummy Fish and Chips from Eithne's restaurant, Mullaghmore.

I've been coming to this area at least twice a year over the past 50 years. Very busy since the introduction WAW. The coastal drive is now busy with walkers and cars. Views looking out to Slieve League and Inishmurray. Great memories as a child climbing over the rocks with my siblings and friends - lots of amazing adventures as we amused ourselves during the long summer holidays. Now our walks end up in the Pier Head Hotel for a drink in the bar looking out to the picturesque harbour and Benbulben.

The small hamlet of Mullaghmore sits on a headland, with a spectacular horseshoe bay on one side and the rugged Atlantic coast on the other. The shoreline rocks create lots of surf and interesting tidal pools which weave in many directions, creating an ever-changing view.

Walk the headland loop, it will take a couple hours, but it’s worth it.

This town is absolutely beautiful during the off-season. We came in late September so many of the shops were closed up. I can only imagine how much fun you could have during the Summer months. Even though there wasn't much to do the walk was refreshing and had great views of the ocean.

Just take your time driving round, don't care about who is behind you, stay safe. You never know whats coming up ahead and you should drive slow, because you'll want to see as much of this scenery as you possibly can.
