Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

I have been lucky enough to visit many caverns and cave systems but this one is special. There are many other caverns that may be larger or deeper or complex but I have never been to one where you can have an event inside it. A group that I visited had a special evening event at this place. Driving to get to the location can be a little tricky and involves an unusual traffic route to arrive at it. There seemed to be plenty of parking right off the road in the grassy area in front of the entrance. The entrance is wide with a basic sign explaining the cave. We even had drinks and food catered and served inside the cavern with 3 seating areas for groups to spread out. The lighting was strip lighting spread throughout the system and gave a really nice ambiance to the entire affair. The cave was really cool and even with the uneven floor was one of the coolest dinner event experiences I have had. I would highly recommend going and seeing this sight for anyone having a chance to make an even special or visit an event that is held there.

This was the highlight of my time in Knoxville. We went to Dr Bass Bats and Bones Tour. Dr Bass is an absolute sweetheart and you can tell he genuinely enjoys meeting people. We had the privilege of meeting him for pictures and a book signing before his presentation. We enjoyed walking around the cave as well. Dr Bass is truly a gem.

Saw The Descent. Older movie but it was kinda fun to see a scary movie in a cave about monsters in a cave. Could improve the experience by either hanging the screen or putting on a platform. Highly recommend bringing your own chairs, the ones they provide are the old school metal card table chairs

This was My first visit to the caverns. While it was small, they did a great job having it all decked out for Christmas. Of course, it was busy and parking was limited. Staff was friendly.

We went on Sunday at 3pm. Parking on a hill squeezed in our truck... it was mostly full when we got there. We walked to the line which took around 20 minutes to get to ticket booth. $12 each Characters greeted guests. They had a mix of craft sellers, coffee and carnival food offered. Walked down a slick steep incline into the cave. They have lights and blow up characters and music. You can stand in another line inside to take a photo with Santa or grinch. They had vendors inside cave. It took about 30 minutes to walk through. We didn't have kids with us. It was an ok time. Something to check out

We enjoyed our visit to this cavern. It was a brief walk through the cavern and the lights (for Christmas) and the Christmas music made it a beautiful experience. It was raining the night we were there so the crowd was very thin...no waiting for tickets. The vendors outside the cavern are so friendly and fun.

We have visited many times since having kids. They always love it! I enjoy it as well. We've been to the Halloween event and other events. Just love it!

The cavern is kind of small and most of the lights and entertainment is geared toward children. If you’re in the area a must see. But not worth a trip just to see. It’s something you can do in a couple hours and it isn’t expensive. You get your money’s worth.

Nothing exciting - long lines. The wait in line is longer than it took to see the cavern. It’s done up nice but definitely a one and done.

It was worth our $10 per person to do it once. I wouldn’t go again. Be prepared for challenging parking issues. We parked on the main road and walked to the attraction. As you approach the entrance there are 2 lines. The one on the left is to buy your tix. The one on the right is to enter. We sent one person to buy tix whole the rest stood in the entrance line. This saved us about 15 minutes of waiting.
For Christmas in the Cave, the Caverns were decorated appropriately and was a good time. I do want to visit other Caverns in the area another time.
Merry Christmas!
