Marvelous hidden gem in East Knoxville. Our winter walk on a recent Sunday afternoon was a pleasant tour of the Knoxville Botanical Gardens. Be sure to walk through the Bamboo forest. Keep an eye out for the spring ephemerals that are starting to show themselves...More

There for a big tent charity function but lots of time to wander before ceremonies. Glad to have discovered this home-town treasure. It is designed with clever or cute (but not TOO cute) touches. Well cared for and accommodating.

Very unfriendly and rude. We stoped by the gardens right after getting to down on a Saturday. Didn't know they have the worst hours-mon to fri 9-5- (I guess if you work or are visiting over a weekend don't think about doing). But the visitor...More

After all the glowing reviews we were very excited to see the gardens. After a 2 1/2 hour drive we arrived for a total disappointment. Granted it was August but gee whiz the place was a mess. There were a few shrubs that grabbed my...More

Wonderful day trip! I took loads of pictures. Got to talk to the gardener, she gave me the name of a daylily nursery. I can't wait to contact them. This is a wonderful place to visit!

Not a bad place to visit, especially since it's free. Some of the gardens are pretty well kept, but most of them are just left up to nature- I for one can appreciate that. I plan to visit again soon, it was very peaceful.

From what I read of some of the reviews, I think some folks think this is Disneyland or a very pristine set of gardens. It is neither. When we visited in April, it was gorgeous. Lot of flowers, and the place was well groomed. The...More

The sign in the parking lot warned to not leave valuables in your car. After driving through a neighborhood with barred windows and doors to get there we opted out and went to Ijams.
