We went there for a St. Patrick's Day event and it was packed with mostly college students. We had been there years ago when it was more family-friendly but now it is mostly bars. There are no shops open as there had been in the...More

We love to stay at the Crowne Plaza and stroll thru Old City. Plenty of neat little shops, bars, and even a stop for coffee. A great way to spend an afternoon. And there are plenty of spots to come back to for very special...More

Old City is on the East Edge of Downtown Knoxville and Old City Java is where I meet clients, the media, politically affiiliated or elected officials etcetera. It's perfect for my purpose. Parking can be a challenge AND pricey.

A short 20 minute walk away from downtown, though we took a cab since it was raining. Basically one block and one street so far has been refreshed. Historic & charming buildings that now house modern bars and restaurants. Fun fun fun.

The pace including restaurants is improving rapidly. More and more people frequent the old city and there is no doubt Kefi has increased traffic to the Old City. Definitely worth the action especially on a weekend evening.

We took a trip to the Old City to eat, drink, see the sights and celebrate my daughter's birthday. It was a little chilly, so we walked briskly. The only problem we had was all the cigarette smoking that was being done on the street....More

We walked around and shopped in small shops. There are several places to get food or just coffee. Historical buildings to see as well as the old cemetery . If you enjoy historical parts of old cities this is a great place.

On the downhill side right now, building up again. It goes through cycles. Jig and Reel had really good food, several other selections around also. May liven up for late night.
