Awesome place. Highly recommend. The museum was definitely the highlight of the visit. Be sure to stop at the country store and get a fried bologna sandwich.

My family and I visited toward the end of June on a weekday. It was not overly busy, so it was nice and quiet. There was a swimming pool and a wading area in the creek, both of which were in use, though we did...More

We have our own camper, so did not use cabins. The shower house was not very clean so I would not trust the cabins to be clean either.

Butcher Holler is in Kentucky. There is a replica ,on the plantation of Hurricane Mills which was used in the movie Coal Miners Daughter. I think there are both steps and a ramp to enter the replica.
