Great train ride. It is great for all ages. The ride has great views. The train is comfortable. The conductor is informative and entertaining.

Took the 8 hour trip. Well worth it. We spent the extra to ride in the dome and glad we did. Saw so much more and there are less people. You can therefore hear conductor's program and your car's personal staff answering questions much better....More

We booked our tickets in advance via the web site then stopped by the depot to pick up the actual tickets. I recommend arriving early to get a good parking space at the depot rather than across the street. The museum upstairs is a good...More

Much enjoyable train ride through the woods and along the river - most sights not accessible only this ride, a good 4 hour trip - narration of landmarks are very informative (not taped). Would do it again!

The Railroad Museum is Free! If you want to go on a rail trip, you can buy the tickets at the station or online in which case print the tickets before you come. It will save lining up and you don't want to hand over... More

Depends on the train-some do and some don't open. I would check with individual train agent.
