Great place to visit! Start with the fifteen-minute movie and then proceed through the interpretive center; where you'll see and hear all types of interesting history! Don't forget to walk the trail that leads to markers and beautiful scenery!

There is a lot of historical facts around as well as a little museum. The only complaint is that there is a really steep hill that even fit people might have trouble getting back up.

We were looking for something to do, and decided to visit Fort Defiance. While there is no actual fort there, it is a wonderful place. There were breathtaking views, we'll kept grounds, and good hiking trails. In addition, there's a small museum with a few...More

I would highly recommend taking a stroll here. I walked here with my kids on a beautiful day and I was very pleased. The scenery is gorgeous. It has a bit of history along with the name plates for certain trees. It was very peaceful....More

I highly recommend visiting this place. The park is clean and safe. There are numerous educational opportunities. If nothing else, the 1 miles loop is nice for a short walk. The museum was great!

The loops is roughly a 1 mile hike, it’s short but good for the family. Enjoyed seeing this historic site. The museum tied everything together nicely.

We visited Fort Defiance on a Saturday morning in October. The fort itself is not a masonry or wood building, but mounds of dirt walls. It was a small encampment when it was an active fort. The fort itself would be a site for only...More

Center is small but informative. Gives good history of Clarksville during the war. Worth a visit especially for out of towners.

I didn't see any signs prohibiting animals on the grounds. It is a self guided tour in a huge open area.
