My wife and I are new to Clarksville so visited the park to learn more about the city's history. The historical film was excellent as was the small but very interesting museum. Anybody who moves here should visit as well as natives or long-timers who...More

At the fort you can see an 18 minute film telling about surrender. All of the men were gone to war and there was no way to defend the town. Clarksville was spared since they did not fight back. Good photo ops on the river...More

Great place to visit! Start with the fifteen-minute movie and then proceed through the interpretive center; where you'll see and hear all types of interesting history! Don't forget to walk the trail that leads to markers and beautiful scenery!

There is a lot of historical facts around as well as a little museum. The only complaint is that there is a really steep hill that even fit people might have trouble getting back up.

I highly recommend visiting this place. The park is clean and safe. There are numerous educational opportunities. If nothing else, the 1 miles loop is nice for a short walk. The museum was great!

The loops is roughly a 1 mile hike, it’s short but good for the family. Enjoyed seeing this historic site. The museum tied everything together nicely.

There wasn't a battle here, so this museum focuses on the impact of the war on the civilians under Union occupation, mostly women and children whose men were of in the Confederate army. It also demonstrates the impact on the slaves, who left their masters...More

I didn't see any signs prohibiting animals on the grounds. It is a self guided tour in a huge open area.
