It is absolutely stunning and beautiful! Once you enter the drive through the canyon you will be transported into another world. A river/stream runs along the road and adds to the tranquility.

Drove through the canyon and stopped at our leisure to take pics and walk around. Very nice drive. Great pull-offs to explore and look around.

Heading down the canyon is very beautiful. Great trees, waterfalls and rock formations. There are several trails that are relatively easy and many stops for taking photos.

What a beautiful, scenic drive. We stopped at Roughlock Falls and walked around a bit while enjoying watching the fish in the stream.

Spearfish Creek is definitely a good place to fish. Don't park along the road or in private driveways, though; there are places to pull out and park, and at least two picnic areas where you could park to fish. Fly fishing... More

We camped in our RV in Spearfish SD at Chris’ Campground which is very close to Spearfish Canyon. There is camping at the lodge there in Spearfish Canyon. But I don’t remember any of the other camping along the canyon road... More
