We were a little disappointed with the amount on display. Considering Ellsworth is a B-1 base we thought there would be more B-1 information. Otherwise this is a typical air base museum. I did sit in cockpit of F-106 and almost fell when I climbed...More

Really enjoyed the display of aircraft outside and explanations. The exhibits inside were not as interesting. We enjoyed a picnic lunch at the picnic tables outside which was nice.

Collection of planes outside and two rooms of exhibits inside. It was okay, but not as good as several other aviation museums I've been to. I'm REALLY into them, but I was bored here. There wasn't even anything in the gift shop that interested me....More

Cold, windy day so needed something to do indoors and decided on the Air and Space Museum. Good way to spend an afternoon.

The SD Air and Space Museum has a surprisingly good collection of planes parked outside, including a B1B bomber and B-52 (both super impressive). The exhibits inside are relatively lame and the text is all far too small to read easily, but the 30 planes...More

This place is chocked full of interesting aviation history. Our tour guide had great stories, which helped provide context. The attraction is free. I enjoyed this more than several of the other pay attractions.

Yes they sure are! Leashed dogs can freely walk around the outside exhibits. We just ask that you clean up after your pet as you tour the museum. Thanks for asking!
