Even though the Dinosaur Park isn't a straight shot off the interstate it is a super fun destination if you get into giant dinosaur statues on a hill. Use your phone or GPS and drive the winding road to the top of the hill. Then...More

Little kids will be in awe of the life-size dimension of these concrete dinosaurs, and then won't be able to keep their hands off the toy dinosaurs of every size, shape & colour in the gift shop. To anyone older, the models lack detail (eg,...More

You have to climb Dinosaur Park to see the view of Rapid City from the top! The steps to the top are a killer, but worth it. The gift shop needs some work because it is really crowded in there.

I agree with the others. I would also add there is a fun geocache up there if you are into geocaching!

Yes, but be aware that if your pooch has any cranky joints, all those steps are going to be hard on her.

That steep winding road everyone is mentioning also really doesn't have a shoulder. I have walked it before, but you need to be careful. The steep turns mean cars can't always see you coming.
