They have converted the basement of the museum into life size mock-ups of gold mining at different eras and different methods, tour guide was very knowledgeable and funny. Very entertaining and informative.

I'm not a big fan of geology OR mining. BUT I really enjoyed seeing the historical exhibits and doing the excellent tour. I highly recommend visiting Lead and this museum to anyone visiting the Black Hills of South Dakota.
