Brookgreen Gardens grounds, gardens and sculptures were absolutely gorgeous even on a dreary November day. The gardens are not to be missed and are truly a South Carolina treasure!

Beautiful mixture of art and nature. Can spend several hours here. Recommend taking the tour (about 90 minutes, included in price) as you get a lot of the history. Worth it even with small children. Be prepared for walking (mostly flat).

This is a must see yearly event. We went twice. First with family adults and second with family with children. With many different events yearly and the Christmas Lights coming up.

We visited in October. The zoo and water areas were closed because of the hurricane but the gardens and sculptures were amazing. Don't miss out on the film and free tour. They both are well done and give you background to what you are seeing....More

For 10 years a good while back we lived a few miles from Brookgreen Gardens and only went once once. Shame on us! This garden has over 1,400 figurines and statues all created by American Artists. The grounds are amazing. If I knew in the...More

Whenever we are in the area, we try to visit Brookgreen Gardens and Huntington Beach state park. The grounds and statues are gorgeous. Always interesting special exhibits, too.

I enjoyed the boat tour and the petting zoo. I took my mother who is 80 and nephew who is 5 and there was something there for everyone. Beautiful landscape.

There is lots of interesting things to see. We didn't get to do the whole tour as my husband was having back problems. We took lots of pictures . Its a very interesting place . Well kept.

It really depends on the area of the park you are walking. Some areas have quite a bit of shade, but others are more open. There are plenty of great areas to choose from whether you want shade or not.

Hi Donja, Yes we allow bikes, but only on the main roads. Not in the sculpture garden or zoo area.
