Brookgreen Gardens is more than just a sculpture garden. It is art galleries, outdoor sculpture, a boat ride through rice fields, a wonderful lesson in Colonial history, and a zoo! This is a fine place for visitors of all ages in all seasons.
Beautiful mixture of art and nature. Can spend several hours here. Recommend taking the tour (about 90 minutes, included in price) as you get a lot of the history.
Worth it even with small children. Be prepared for walking (mostly flat).
