Coming back for another visit after 20 years and still enjoying the tours. No need to plan ahead since the Hospitality Center will help to plan the tours for you. The Gullah culture show is a must see.

While visiting the Charleston area we wanted to experience visiting a plantation and choose Boone Hall in Mount Pleasant. Entering through the avenue of the oaks is almost worth the price of admission alone. One thing that I really liked about Boone Hall is that...More

This is an amazing venue! An old plantation loaded with educational exhibits, but an actual functioning plantation that grows and sell food. This was the plantation of Orry Main's family in The North and The South series. The price is reasonable and even more so...More

Took a short drive outside Charleston to Boone Hall plantation. This site was used in the films North and South and the sequel to Roots Plus others. Beautiful drive towards the mansion through s grove of live oaks-planted in 1700’s. Majestic trees for certain. The...More

I enjoyed walking through history. The house is beautiful. It's always a bit sureal to feel the echoes of days gone by. It's a past we should not ever forget.

Driving through up the Avenue of the Oaks is worth the price. It doesn't get any more beautiful or southern. Lots of history (good and bad), beautiful grounds and interesting tours. We did the full experience: House tour, Gullah Geechie talk, ride around the acreage....More

The grounds were beautiful. The house tour wasn't much... the guide was very sweet but just not a lot to see (3 rooms) but the grounds and Gullah Geechee performance were wonderful.

This is a must see place if you're in Charleston. We spent 4 hours there to take advantage of all the activities. The admission is only $24 and the moment you enter, you feel the history of our past. You'll have access to the tractor...More

I have been on many plantation tours and this is by far one of the best. Boone Hall offers education and variety. From the tour of the planatation home, the slave cabins, the Gulah performance, I was blown away. My tour was 4 hours and...More

We spent the entire day here and did it all, the house tour, the tractor trailer ride, the slaves quarters, but the very best, do not miss, was the black woman a decendant of slaves, who gave a great talk about the origin of the...More

Yes, they have a little café. We only got drinks. Didn't seem like a full menu.

You can just show up and buy them there or you can purchase them ahead of time. I purchased mine at the Visitor's Centre prior to going there when I bought my city tour there.
