Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

I visited on a weekday morning and had a great visit! The docent was very friendly and willing to share so much information about the museum. The museum is small, but has interesting exhibits on the founding of Greer, agricultural roots, home life, entertainment, medicine, and the founding British, Irish, and Scottish people. The museum also has restrooms and a small gift shop. I had a great time learning about the history of Greer!

We took a ghost tour in October. It was fascinating to learn about the dark history of the area and town. The museum has some interesting films and artifacts, and a new exhibit featuring the area of the upstate called the Dark Corner. Worth checking out. No onsite parking but there are many public lots nearby.

What a great museum! So many displays and items dating wayyyy back. The layout was thoughtful and informative. We had a great time speaking with the museum staff too. Don’t forget to make a donation!

This small museum has many interesting items from the Greer area. Free, with requested donation, it is well worth the stop.

Most cities do not have a museum, let alone one that is as outstanding as the Greer Heritage Museum. Greer's history is thoroughly documented in this museum with a vast array of artifacts, displays, videos, documents, books, newspapers and much more. The only downside is that the museum is not open every day.

Well done small museum that covers the growth of Greer from an early train depot to present day. Very well laid out, good docents to guide you, and just an all around pleasant place to visit.
