Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Captain Shawn was awesome! He was super friendly and very accommodating to all the questions from passengers. The river tour was so relaxing, and the dolphins welcomed us back from our trip. We had a great time!

My family did a kayaking tour yesterday and while it down poured on us (pop up showers) and was cut short, we still had a great time! They gave us the option to return the next day due to bad weather but unfortunately we were heading back home so we’re unable to go! My kids are 10 and they enjoyed the tandem kayaks with us! I didn’t get an pictures as I left my phone in the tackle shop!

The guides were helpful and knowledgeable about the area. We enjoyed learning about the fiddle crabs and we saw birds and also Dolphins on our way in. They timed the tour with the tides so it was not difficult. It was peaceful and enjoyable.

Awesome experience, collected many unique shells and sand dollars. Even saw a pod of dolphins right next to the boat.

This was a relatively easy guided kayak tour for a family that included two grandparents, their daughter, and two grandkids. We used mostly double kayaks. The area we were in is beautiful, and there are a lot of stories about the history of the island. We enjoyed our kayak experience.

The ride yo the island was ok but the shell hunting experience on Otter island was nothing like what was listed on the website. We found no shells worthy of picking up and there was nothing else there. We were hoping to find some sand dollars like was listed on the website but other than a few shells, there was nothing else. There were far more shells on the beaches of Edisto Island than where they took us. An expensive bust. We didn't even spend half of the time on the island. Everyone who rode over to Otter Island could not wait to catch the next ride back.

Our guides were Peyton and Daniel. They did an excellent job of launching our group and guiding us thru the creeks during a high tide. Great way to soend the morning!

Despite the cloudy weather, we had a great time kayaking Big Bay Creek. Fun family adventure and it's given us the courage to rent our own kayaks next time!
