We perform checks on reviews.
Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Edgefield is one of the few towns in South Carolina which General Sherman did not burn (due to the resolve of the Confederate Generals who were from Edgefield). As a result, it has one of the best historical repository of old records left in the South. Researchers from all over the USA come, spend time and research in Edgefield.

Although we could not get all of the answers we were looking for, we were able to cross some things off our list. That is progress when doing genealogical research.

So much information available. Helpful volunteer. Need to return when I have more time, since I really am only a beginner with genealogy.

A cousin invited me to go for us to research some of our family history. We were greeted and provided with help in researching our family history. We purchased a couple of books that have proved to interesting and helpful. Plan to visit again.

From the moment we walked in, there were interesting, knowledgeable volunteers asking who we were researching, and bringing piles of local files for us to look through. I've often seen helpful genealogical societies, but this is one of the best. The quaint town square is charming as well, and boasts many good places to eat.
