Don't take kids here. They'd be bored to death! The ferry ride over was great. But the island itself- not much there. There are a few shops but there's not much in the shops. Even the "museums" were lacking in interest. A cup of coffee...More
My wife and I, along with another couple, took Sallie Ann’s Gullah tour. It was incredible! Fun, filled with anecdotes and information that only someone who’s lived it could provide. The private boat trip to and from the island, dolphin sightings, running through the marsh...More
I've done several tours of Daufuskie, and Tour Daufuskie is the best. They use a wonderful ferry service that is far superior to others. The golf carts are top notch, no mechanical difficulties, no running out of gas. Great and friendly staff. The experience was...More
Daufuskie is an awesome place to go if your wanting pretty much total isolation and the beach to yourself! Hardly anything here but nice beaches and nice people( what there is of them). My wife and I were so intrigued we are possibly considering relocating...More
Odd , nothing much there any more . Just did not have a good feeling there . Boat ride was fun and golf carts were nice but just an odd place . Spent 220.00 for three people , wouldn’t go back .More

Hey! We are sorry the island was not quite your style! We know Daufuskie isn't for everyone. We would greatly appreciate it if you would consider reviewing the services (golf cart, customer service, booking process, boat ride, etc.) Tour Daufuskie offers instead of the island....More
If you get lunch, you’ll feel slightly rushed bc the ferry schedule. Almost better to do the 10:00-5:30 ferry. We called them mid day to extend from 2:30-5:30 ($30 extra). Golf carts were in great condition and you get lots of freedom! Helpful and good...More
There is nothing on Dafuskie Island — way overhyped. If your idea of fun is riding a slow gold cart around on a sketchy vacant island where most of the homes are deteriorating due to the developer going bankrupt in 2010 - then have it....More
This tour had easy access to their contact information and was very responsive when contacted. Billing was easy but be aware of the 24 hour cancellation policy. Their agent will greet you at the end of the dock (in our case, Melrose Landing) and assign...More

your best way to know if everything is open and about bikes is to CALL THEM ! And then call that morning before you get on the Ferry. All the attractions are independent and they can close if wanted and needed. The best and most informative way to see all the important spots is the guided tour by van. You'll never learn any history and there is LOTS about everything and everyone. A lot of people were sorry they didn't do that instead of going on there own. After the tour I would rent the bikes. Gulf carts are OK but not as comfortable for little ones and seniors. VERY ROUGH roads. The restaurants and gift shop will be open .
We went to the island on a boat that would hold about 20 people. The trip took about 15 min at about 45 mile per hr.Fun ride there and back.We rented a golf cart and toured on our own time.Best way to go.
