Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We stopped at this location on our way home from Hilton Head Island. My husband and I love to visit historic sites and find out about the history of events that take place in different regions.
The Battle of Musgrove Mill is a location where a battle took place during the Revolutionary War (August 19, 1790). There is a visitors center with a small gift shop.
You can pick up a map and then head over to Horseshoe Falls Road to do the outside tour. You first encounter Horseshoe Falls and then begin an approximately 2.5 mile interpretive trail. There is signage along the way that tells you what took place in the area.
South Carolina is humid so this might be a good activity for a spring or fall day that isn't very hot. We went later in the day so the sun wasn't bad but it was still sticky feeling.
If you enjoy history, this might be the place for you. We love to learn about what has taken place at various locations.
