My wive and I try to visit Charleston at least 1 time per year, and always take a carriage ride with Classic Carriage Works. The guides are always very informative, explaining the history of particular land marks as you make your way through which ever...More

We recently booked a private carriage tour but had to cancel at the last minute because my wife had fallen and sustained fractures in both arms. This company immediately accepted the cancellation and refunded the full amount. Next time we return to Charleston we will...More

This was a great experience. I really enjoyed myself. I love living in the USA, we don’t have 5000 year old buildings like Europe, but we have an amazing and rich history and this hour long trip shows some of that history. Our guide was...More

Our tour guide Patrick was friendly and well-versed in Charleston history. He shared stories of the past, educated us about the different styles of architecture, and amused us with his interactions with Carson the horse.

A low key, historical up close tour of Charleston, in the comfort of a horse and carriage, for at least an hour. Drivers and horses are great teams to amuse and educate, and really appreciate the teamwork between man and horse. Reasonable prices......

The old town of Charleston is awash with horse-drawn buggies full of tourists being shepherded around the sights so, being tourists, we joined in. I don’t think Classic is the biggest operator but I also think we lucked out as the larger outfits packed the...More

A nice tour filled with non-stop history and information about Charleston. John was a wealth of information. While Charleston is very walkable, this gives you a nice background. Highly recommend this

Our first time in Charleston and we decided a carriage ride was a must. Patrick was our guide and very enthusiastic, entertaining and informative. Carson was our horse, gorgeous and well taken care of. We had a great time. Would definitely recommend.

The large carriages seat up to 16 people, so if you purchase group tickets you will be riding with other people. Kids 3 and under can ride on a lap for free.
