The Unitarian Church in Charleston is easily accessible and well worth even a short visit. The cemetery is especially interesting. Don't miss this church during your visit of the many Charleston historical locations.

Nature has taken over throughout which is the Unitarian way. I took a few really great pictures showing the age of the headstones with the moss hanging from nearby trees.

Amazing edifice. The Sankofa memorial in the churchyard is a must see on your Charleston visit. The congregation saved about 100 handmade bricks from the 1774 tower and built a memorial to the unknown enslaved workers who made them. Unique. Significant. Touching.

The choir certainly was in good form. They also had some guest musicians. The sanctuary was beautiful with the colors from the windows adding to the arched ceiling.

This is one of the hidden gems in Charleston. It is the second oldest church building in the downtown area dating to just before the Revolutionary War. Although the address is on Archdale Street, the best access is through a beautiful gateway walk off of...More

Got a chance to explore the church and graveyard. Very beautiful and peaceful. Pathways were well kept while maintaining the overgrown aspect of the graveyard.
