Very nice place to hang out, just relaxing in the swings, watching the kids playing in the water. Watching the boats and sometimes a cruise ship. Good breeze and nice people, great place for photos.

Very nice area to walk on the pier by the ocean. Enjoy the Charleston breeze, listen to local musicians playing, and watch Dolphins swim in the bay. The pineapple water fountain is located here as well. Just a lovely little area to walk after dinner...More

We always stop here to just cool off and regroup. My children and teens like the swings and shade. Also great place to watch the tour boats.

The Waterfront Park is beautiful! We saw a dolphin swimming right in front of us on the pier! We saw Fort Sumter in the distance and took a stroll through the park. This is a great place to visit!

On a hot summer day we enjoyed a walk on the waterfront, watched kids play in the fountain, and street artists dance while sitting in the shade. It was a nice area.

The place is very charming, romantic enviroment, it was very empty, it was chistmas time, is not cold but its windy, beautiful place to go for a walk with friends, family or couples.

There are quite a few homeless people in this area just across the street from the Harborview Inn. We live in small town America, so we are not used to seeing homeless begging for money. We saw several bags of clothing in the bushes just...More

This park has a long pier with plenty of places to rest under a canopy and out of the sun. The park has crushed rock paths. Lots of walkers and joggers and dog walkers enjoy this area. It’s also very clean, though the sea is...More

We walked through here our first afternoon in Charleston. In the middle of the day, there were performers, kids playing in the fountain, and people walking and relaxing. We also walked through here in the morning during our workout and it was quiet and deserted.

Old Exchange Bldg. is on Broad St and East Bay. About a 4 block, 10 minute walk to the park.

It is a City of Charleston park, so there are definite restrictions. I'd call the city and ask. Parking can be a problem, and there are always LOTS of tourists, so any sort of privacy will be difficult. Not so sure if you... More
