I liked that it was flat and paved. In other words, an easy ride. It takes you through the old neighborhoods. On a warm day, this is a great way to spend an afternoon. There weren't many people riding the day I was out there....More
This trail is a gem in Beaufort. Just plug Westvine Drive, Port Royal SC, into your gps and it will take to the the trail head as it now stands, unload your bicycles at the designated parking lot, and ride toward Beaufort. On a nice...More
This trail was beyond amazing. Beautiful views along the trail. Nice flat trail for bikes or walking. I LOVED it and hope we can get something like this started back home. I am in total awe of the beauty of this trail.
Very nice ride close to town but with the feel of being out on the edge. Trail is paved in excellent condition. Some bike and walker traffic but not crowded . We had a great ride! It is listed as 2.7 miles, not sure where...More
We've enjoyed the trail, part of the East Coast Greenway, multiple times on our visit to the Lowcountry. There are shady stretches which make the trail good even in the midday heat. Families and couples stroll in the evenings. Benches are placed irregularly, but usually...More

I suggest that you look at the Spanish Moss trail website for a map, a list of trailheads, and suggestions for parking. We entered at the Depot Street trailhead, which was close enough to our hotel that we could ride our bikes from the hotel. Thus, we weren't concerned about parking. We did not cycle the entire trail, but it's my understanding that the trail is about 10 miles now. So I believe that you would be correct that if you rode the entire trail and back, it would be 20 miles.

Near one of the trail heads, in Port Royal, there is a place that rents bicycles named Pluff Mudd. The owner's name is Nick - a great guy. The bikes are not geared but my wife and I, who are in our mid-fifties, pretty easily rode the entire trail (a worthy venture). The price is right. And Nick is very accommodating: you certainly could ask him to delivery you the bicycles, and he probably would at no additional charge.
