If you like to walk along the beach, this is a great place to do just that. Walk out to the point and venture through the shrubs and you will find an old abandoned fort, surrounded by a page fence for your safety. Very enjoyable.
This is one of our favorite beaches to go to, unfortunately there is no easy parking if you plan to spend more than 2 hours. There was a dirt lot kind of near the beach we use to go to, but they jacked their price...More
I went to the Carousel Beach in Watch Hill on 7/9/18. It cost $30.00 cash to park(Lot on the hill on Larkin), To enter the beach it was $7.00 for me, $5.00 for my daughter and $4.00 for umbrella rental. I just went again on...More
The town was very cute and beach looked great until my son went in the water and kept feeling pinches on his body he immediately came out and discovered sea lice were all over him! So disgusting never again ☹️ Will we go there!
I have been going to East Beach in Watch Hill for the past 15 years, most recently yesterday on July 4th. In those 15 years the cost of parking on weekends (and holidays) has increased from $10 to $40 and the town has become less...More
This is a nice quiet beach but the parking is awful and there is a charge. Get here early or you will be driving around for an hour looking for parking. The beach is a long walk from parking also so keep that in mind....More
killed a little time here while waiting for our flight in Providence, and wish we had more time to spend here! Serene, quiet beach with interesting shells and fine sand. Wouldn't mind returning if in the area again!
While staying at The Ocean House, we spent a bit of time just walking Watch Hill Beach, and in different weather too. We gained access via the walkways from The Ocean House, and their Dune Cottage restaurant and bar. The beach, itself, is lovely, and...More

The fee was 1) wasting an entire afternoon looking for parking in this small town that doesn't want visitors. 2) Having arthritis and unable to walk a mile up a massive hill to the beach, I paid off someone in a condo development to use their spot ($50).
3) Weeks later, received a $75.00 ticket in the mail because we made the sinful mistake of deciding -- after driving two hours and looking for parking for 75 minutes - to stop looking and stop for less than 90 seconds to discharge young teens who then had to walk with all our gear unaccompanied and find the beach solo. Apparently, if you go to this town, which is nothing special and has some truly nondescript basic shops and a pathetically smelly bad deli, you are supposed to haul your gear for a mile to their beach, where there is no lifeguard, food, water, or anything extraordinary. You arrive and wonder why the heck anyone cares about this stretch of beach when there are plenty of others nearby that don't hate you before you even arrive in theIr pseudo-pristine town!! It's a complete waste of time. Think of a "blank" show, and Watch Hill is it. What a joke of a town and shiatty little beach!! Do NOT waste your day.
