Beautiful historic carousel that's not to be missed if you're in the area. Been told it's the oldest still operating carousel in the country. Its just lovely to see! Save time for shopping at one of the quaint little boutiques And/or get a bite at...More

Don't go out of your way to see this carousel. Yes, it's old. But it's small, and unimpressive, and the horses don't even go up and down, they just swing out. Bah!

This is such a wonderful carousel. The kids on the outer horses have the opportunity to grab the brass ring and if a child gets it, he gets a free ride! The horses are beautiful and the kids love it! Unfortunately, our kids are now...More

This is for toddlers and very young school age kids. The horses are very old and delicate. While beautiful, it is a small carousel (especially if you are expecting something similar to Six Flags or Disney's carousel). The line was not too long on a...More

Good place to stop with the kids for a ride on an historic carousel. There are 2 beaches, refreshments and shops all around the carousel location.

We always stop here when we are in the area for a quick ride. The kids always have fun and the price is reasonable.

We took the grandkids down to show them what rides use to be like. It's amazing how much they loved the simple round and round. Reaching for the rings adds enough fun for them to keep coming back.

We have come here when the kids were young and it was a tradition to have them ride the flying horses. Our kids are grown but we stopped by and watched the excited riders try to grab the brass rings.

We took my 3 year old granddaughter who has not been a fan of merry-go-rounds and she loved this! It was not fast and the music was not loud! The kids on the outer horses try to grab the brass ring for a free ride....More

Although not that safe for young kids (<4) tha older ones (=/>5) would have a really good time. This is an older carousel with an option of grabbing rings.

I would have to answer as the other person did. Very little free parking for shops, otherwise paid parking for $10-$20. There is also parking on the off street but watch the signs in some spots you need a permit.

I do not believe there is a minimum age, I have seen parents standing along side of the horse to guide the child in the experience when the age is younger.
