We were spending a few days in the Laurel Highlands and went to Laurel Hill for a day trip and hiking. We were a bit inconvenienced as there were no maps available anywhere but we did find one posted by the boat rental. The restrooms...More

The reservoir behind the Jones Mill Run Dam is almost filled in with silt. The hike up to the dam, along Jones Mill Run was beautiful. The trail can be anywhere from a nice clear path, to one with roots in the path, to a...More

I wasn't expecting much, but what a nice state park! The campground was clean and well maintained, the bathrooms were also clean. The beach area was so nice! We rented paddle boards and kayaks and had a great time. We'll be back.

We love going camping here. It’s cool and pretty in the mountains, some nice easy hiking is available, and there is a lake with kayaking and canoeing. So peaceful.

It's the best of PA State Parks. Perfect blend of activities and serenity. It doesn't have the attractions that Rickett's Glen and Ohio Pyle have to offer but it also doesn't have the crowds. Besides, Ohio Pyle is a pretty close day-trip if you want...More

Hello, Aug is usually our warmest month, but nothing like Florida at this time. You do have many water options here, beach access, paddleboats, paddleboards, and kayak rentals
