Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

This is a quaint local winery. The tastings are really nice. Only $5 and you can try five different wines. Tastings are only done in the building, but glasses of wine can be taken all over their property. The lawn is beautiful, and the venue is very well kept.

Sue and Colton were very friendly and welcoming! The wine was amazing - my husband and I started out with one wine tasting and decided on sharing a bottle of Vidal Blanc. We also enjoyed a cheese and meat tray. The atmosphere was fantastic looking over the snow covered fields in Southwestern Pennsylvania. Colton informed us of all the wonderful events they have coming up. The winery is not far from Hidden Valley and Seven Springs Ski resorts. We passed Shanksville - I believe it is 20 minutes from the winery. Thank you again, Sue and Colton for a wonderful snowy afternoon.

They purchase all their grapes, however make all their wine. The tasting was ok and we bought a bottle of cab Franc.
We will not be back but glad we stopped.

What a nice way to spend an afternoon. Due to COVID there was no wine tastings but a list with descriptions of the wines were given to you. Wine was sold by the glass or bottle. The two ladies working in the front gave their descriptions also, which made it a bit better. They had a lot to choose from-dry, semi-dry, semi-sweet, etc. If you’re not into wine, they also had a good selection of beers. They had wine slushies and in the refrigerated section snacks i.e. shrimp cocktail, cheese platters. We visited on a Saturday and a caterer was there with pizza (very good), soups, sandwiches and a few other items. Quite a few people but practiced social distancing. They also had a gentleman playing guitar and singing. This place is worth a visit-and a few glasses-:)

We didn't have tickets for the Octoberfest, but were able to stay and try the wine by the glass. The atmosphere is welcoming and on a warm and windy day we sat outside and listened to the festivities below. Had a great time, bought some "wine filled chocolate drops" interesting, and tried a bottle of the Whitehorse Beer they had in their cooler. Good time all the way around.

I was on a girl days out to celebrate a friend's birthday. We stopped here to listen to the live band and had some good wine slushies. Plan to back next summer.

Great little stop, free wine tasting. Something you do not get in Virginia. The staff is super friendly. It was raining outside so it was the perfect stop to take instead of skiing!

We stopped here after a visit to the National Parks in the area. The ladies working were nice and friendly, you can try up to 6 wines, no charge! The White was delicious and the Winter White was very good too, I’m a sweet wine drinker, but they had a very nice selection of Dry, Semi Sweet and Sweet wines. A very cozy place, if we lived closer I would take my sisters and sister in laws for a nice wine testing night, it would be fun.

We stopped at the winery and found many wines we both liked. Sampling was free and the workers were all very nice. You could buy some cheese or vegetable platters and sit inside or out.

Do you know or can you find out when the Malbec or Winter White will be available again. Didn't see a place on their site to ask and I would really like to order several bottles of each. Thank You

Would this be worth visiting in winter time? We will be skiing at seven springs and we enjoy wine. Is it a far drive?

Totally worth it! Not too far of a drive if you take the quickest route. Just last Sunday, we enjoyed a bottle there! They have nice tables to sit at.

We are planning a trip to Somerset as part of my vacation, Mostly to visit an old friend. I was wondering if you offer wine tasting tours or something similar?
Lisa C

Yes they have tours and wine tastings - they are very generous with the tastings which are free. When you purchase a glass of wine it is a FULL glass of wine! The store is very clean and everyone is very friendly and knowledgeable.
