I REALLY wish they would offer directions to THIS site at the "official" 9/11 Memorial ... would have loved to have seen this as it has a "religious" connotation to it. When I go back, I will definitely devote time to this other site.

There are three parts to this memorial. The first is a tower near the entrance that should be completed in the fall. From this point, drive on to the Visitors Center. As you walk in from the parking lot, note the trail of black stones....More

on our way back from a Washington DC trip we stopped at the Flight 93 Memorial Chapel. It is truly an emotional experience. One can only imagine what went through the minds of those who were on the flight

This is a beautiful place. In the hills out in the middle of no where. Very sad that this had to happen but I am grateful to those who risked their lives to save thousands of other! This is an awesome memorial!

The Flight 93 Memorial Chapel is a very sad place to visit. But worth the long drive. I will go back again in the spring.

We have been to the 9-11 museums in Manhattan but found this Memorial to be much more compelling. The National Park Service has built a wonderful Memorial to the passengers on Flight 93, who were the first ones to fight back on that terrible day.

A group of six of us made this a day trip from Washington. It is a fitting memorial to the people on the flight. Very moving and well worth the trip.
