We crossed the bridge on a baseball game night. It was closed to traffic and we could take out time viewing the surroundings. The locks on the fence makes on think and contemplate. It is nice they are left there.

The walk over the bridge is beautiful and great exercise. From the bridge there are great views of PNC park and of the many locks along the rivers. Fun and Free!

A great walk over the bridge, and an Icon of the city. Would recommend taking a walk over if you have time, and many people have placed locks all over.

Walked across the bridge after a Steeler game. Very safe. No pan handlers. Very clean. Excellent (and very easy) walk from downtown to either of the stadiums.

We were not able to walk across the bridge on game day, but bet it would be fun. They close the street to traffic when the Pirate's play at home, enabling a festival type environment. You can walk across the pedestrian access at any time.

The views of the river are great. All the locks on the bridge that reprint unbreakable love are interesting.

Take a walk from Point State Park along the river and cross the bridge. It's a nice stroll. From the bridge you can take some great pictures, then walk on over to PNC Park.

The Hilton at the convention center as well as the Drury Hotel are within walking distance. There are several others but I can't recall the names.

You can walk across the bridge in twenty or less minutes. As far as parking, to my knowledge street parking is your best bet. I would park on the PNC Park side, as there is more parking available than on the other side.
