I was amazed this is part of Pitt University. The rooms of learning were beautiful and educational. Take the time to wander around and go up to I believe the 36th floor for the view. Great gothic architecture

I had customers in Pittsburgh from California and we had extra time before they had to board flights back to the west coast. We did a mini tour of Pittsburgh and they LOVED the views inside the Cathedral. Hail to PItt!

The name of the building is so evocative to start with. Then you walk in and wander about, & are transported to another time and place. Make sure you take the ride up for beautiful views of the city.

The Cathedral is only open until 4 PM because it is used for classrooms. Never dinners. Weekends the vending machines are available but the food court is not open for hot meals.
