If you've young children and not sure what to do for a good 2 hours, the Aviary is a great option. Mostly everything is hands-on and they can climb on stuff, feed birds and experience the penguin habitat. Its not a huge place, so its...More

This is an exhilarating experience but also requires a bit of patience. At first when I entered the large rooms I thought I saw just a few birds. I was feeling disappointed. But the trick is to keep looking in the same area or scanning...More

Very enjoyable and not crowded. The educational show which includes live bird flights was excellent.

although I generally don't like places that enclose wild species...this was pretty well done as clear they make the habitats as natural as possible. I was completely awed by the Stellar's Eagles, which massive and powerful birds 3-4 ft high.

We especially liked the Wetlands and the Rainforest Habitats. All of the employees seemed knowledgeable and friendly. I was quite entertained by Wookie the sloth - a surprise in an aviary - who decided that the breakfast in the neighboring habitat was more appealing. It...More

Our four old grandson was thoroughly involved in finding the birds in both the Rainforest and Wetlands exhibits. The penguin exhibit featured a tunnel where the kids could pop up in a viewing glass right next to a bird. We were genuinely impressed by the...More

This aviary is pretty small, but it makes up for it by allowing you to be up close to most of the birds. The "grasslands" area has many different varieties of finches, all free flight. It was great to just sit and watch them zoom...More

This place is great! I've been a lot of zoos and animal related centers, and this is a excellent hidden gem. It is reasonably priced ($17?) with additional reasonably priced add-ons available. Feedings range from $3-5 up to $150 for private encounters. We did a...More

I have taken a large group through and you could do all of the exhibits in 2 hours. But you could stay longer if you take in one of the bird shows.
