Loved the National Aviary. We were there on a chilly, rainy day but the aviary had climate-controlled rooms for the various bird habitats. There were few mammals that stole the show--a sloth, an armadillo, and fox bats, which I watched being fed. The penguins are...More

Interesting place to visit, cool things to see though not huge. They offer free scheduled shows, where you can get involved by feeding the birds.

Visited in late December for the first time. Was pleasantly surprised and delighted at the openness of the various climate areas. Birds fly over your head, walk next to you, it is quite amazing! The live feeds of the penguins and bats were very informative...More

This was a great afternoon visit while family was in town for the holidays. Something for everyone to enjoy. Only took about 2 hours so it didn't drag out through the whole day.

Every time I visit, I say that I should visit more often. I never tire of seeing the birds AND the sloths. On our last visit, which included the evening hours, we were treated to an extended view of Wookie, as he traveled down for...More

We loved visiting the aviary, especially feeding the birds some nectar. When they fly to you it's just magical. This is very well done building. And they have off street parking We became members and the parking is free.

Finally had a chance to visit the aviary while visiting family. This is a nice, well maintained, family oriented place. The aviary is relatively small, but the exhibits they do have offer close up views of the birds and there are many opportunities to listen...More

I have taken a large group through and you could do all of the exhibits in 2 hours. But you could stay longer if you take in one of the bird shows.
