Amazing variety of birds at this special Pittsburgh venue. Get up-close and personal with birds from every continent except Antarctica (although they do have some penguins). It's fun to see the feedings, especially in the tropical section. Totally worth a visit!

Spent a couple of hours with my grown daughter enjoying the birds. The rain forest exhibits were our favorite and then the grasslands.

This Aviary in Pittsburgh will interest everyone from the serious birder to the mildly curious. While some of the birds are in cages, most of them are in large rooms (Grasslands, Wetlands, Tropical Rain forest, etc.) where they fly or waddle quite close to you....More

If you like birds - it’s a must see. They have beautiful bald eagles, something you don’t often see. Each of the exhibits are unique - and most of them you just walk in and the birds fly around you. It was fun. We also...More

Pittsburgh’s National Aviary is great. You get to be with the birds in their habitat. They are flying around you. Some are in cages, but not many. The staff offers informational sessions during the birds feeding times (throughout the day). Very knowledgeable staff. Great for...More

I have taken a large group through and you could do all of the exhibits in 2 hours. But you could stay longer if you take in one of the bird shows.
