Allegheny Cemetery is an open air museum of Pittsburgh History and fine memorial design. The staff in the office was extremely accommodating and delightful to work with. Allow adequate time to really enjoy your visit.

A young woman at the candle shop a few blocks away suggested a walk through the cemetery. Some headstones go back to 1700s.
