Mount Washington has great views of downtown Pittsburgh. You can drive there or take one of the inclines. There are a number of viewing spots. There are some spots to get a bite to eat, coffee, or ice cream.

Take the incline. It is touristy but very fun. At the bottom, have a drink at the grand concourse; at the top, have an ice cream and enjoy the view.

We walked in the evening and enjoyed the wide-ranging view of downtown Pittsburgh with the rivers and many bridges in easy view. The many unique shops nearby also made it fun.

Good views, specially the one near the park, far from inclines. Long walk or car is recommended. Picturesque place.

Take the incline or drive to the top of Mt. Washington. You'll find various vantage points to experience the views and some great restaurants with great views of their own.

Great place to see the Pittsburgh skyline and walk around a bit. The ride up in the funicular is fun and there is a great view of the area. Good to bring out of towners here to see View of Pittsburgh.

Breathtaking view of the city from the perspective of a steep tree-covered mountainside. It is a lovely spot to take in. The portion of Grand Avenue between McArdle Roadway and the Monongahela Incline is actually the most spectacular portion. (If driving up McArdle Roadway, turn...More

Don't miss stopping by Mount Washington when visiting Pittsburgh. Great view of downtown and good choice of restaurants, too. You can take the Duquesne Incline up and back down. Free Incline ride for senior citizens. just show your Medicare card!

This has to be one of the most dramatic views in the United States as you can see all three of the major rivers and where they come together all while looking over the city skyline of Pittsburgh. We went to dinner at the Coal...More

Yes, if you are looking at getting some walking in but not too much it makes sense to drive. Although the price of the Incline was VERY resonanable (under $4.00 round trip). Most hotels offer transportation and the T is free... More
