    Fall in love with Ohiopyle!
My family is so lucky to live only about 45 minutes from this beautiful attraction! We like to come each season to see the difference in the falls. This visit was the first time our children accompanied us. They were amazed by the falls and loved the visitors center. Always a fun time!

    Beautiful area!
Beautiful area with plenty to do!! Hiking, Biking and White Water rafting. We did the White Water rafting with Wilderness Voyagers and had a great time with our guide Scott. Hiked to the Cascade Falls in the Meadow Run are. The beginning of the hike has a natural water slide. Weekends can be very busy but trails are marked very well and the scenery beautiful. Another must see is Cucumber Falls. Hiking down to the river and you can even get down to the falls for some swimming. There’s a beautiful scenic overlook at Tharp Knob picnic area. Views looking down over the town of Ohiopyle. Paddlers Pizza was excellent, not to many choices for restaurants but this place was great. Camping was good. Although sites are very unlevel and some are close together with your neighbor. All in all beautiful area with a little something for everyone.

    We’ll be back
Rode the Great Allegheny Passage through the Ohiopyle state park. Gorgeous park, great well-maintained trail, beautiful views. On our return trip after a category 2 tornado hit, we were very impressed by how quickly the park staff were out there clearing the trail, cutting up downed trees, and getting debris off the trail.

Wonderful River Falls and Visitors Center
We visited the park and visitors center before our visit to Fallingwater. The visitor's center was really complete and provides a great history of the area. Based on the history and available things to do, it looks a great place to camp and explore.

    gret little gem
one of my favorite state parks, a little out of the way, but worth the drive . I have been there in the spring and fall, both were beautiful times of the year. if you want a great spot or you want to take a pet, you will need to make reservation a year in advanced

    Beautiful scenery
This park is beautiful. We brought our dog and went on a short hike. The gift shop was open. We enjoyed a delightful lunch and bought cute sweatshirts. They also have clean restrooms. Highly recommend!

    Nature and Beauty Everywhere
We have just learned about this amazing area. Beautiful area with so much to offer people of all ages. We initially were coming for the "Falling Water " tour by FLW. To our surprise there are two homes to tour. Kentuck Knob which was amazing too. The hiking and terrain of the area is really a sight to see. Waterfalls abound this area and being that we were here only for a few days it was overwhelming. Could have stayed a week and still not seen it all. We rented a beautiful lodge and enjoyed the home after our daily activities. Some trails were not walkable as flood flash warnings but the rivers and streams were overflowing and we were happy to witness the powerful flows. What a gem of a place. We saw a different river when we first arrived as the rapids and rainfall were spectaculor. Scary actually in some ways as did not want to get to close. Rapids were higher than 5 I believe.

    Great location for day hikes
Ohiopyle was a hood destination for some day hiking. We saw waterfalls, checked out the visitor center for some history and maps, hiked the Baughman Trail (very steep) to the Baughman Rock (excellent view) and walked around the river on both sides. It was also fascinating to check out the old train tracks and the bridge. During our visit there was some kind of event and loud live music, which we fortunately couldn't hear on the trails. Would definitely recommend Ohiopyle for anyone who wants to do longer day hikes or maybe even spend a night – otherwise I don't think it's a great destination for camping. Visiting during the leaves changing was an added bonus.

We really enjoyed this park! The raging water and falls were amazing. We really enjoyed taking some time to enjoy the rapids and would return if in the area.

We attempted to go to Ohiopyle State Park on the last weekend in August and it was so crowded, we could not find a place to park. ALL the parking lots were full and overflowing with vehicles parked for miles along both sides of the road. Elbow to elbow crowds was not what I had i mind when visiting the park so we did not stop.

Crowded is an understatement. If the had those rope mazes to walk through to see anything would be a 4 plus hour wait. I don’t think I have seen more people crowded shoulder to shoulder in random places ever and I am 60. Unbelievable! Only available parking was for miles alongside the road. Every parking lot was over full!

Some of the most amazing white water rapids in the US. You definitely need to take a trip down the river and try at least a level 3-4 rapid. The level 5 is where the real fun begins though!
