Peace Valley Park is a lovely park to walk, bike and jog, as well as engage in water sports. The path around the water is long - about 6.5 miles, so if you want to complete a loop, plan accordingly. While I typically do a...More

Love that I live super close to this treasure! Great for all seasons. My favorite is the nature center which has all sorts of activities such as moon walks and bird walks. The wildlife is amazing here! Never get tired of visiting! Something for everyone!

Peace Valley park is a great spot for a walk. It is dog friendly and there is a paved trail around the lake. The lake is a warm water fishery so there are bass, bluegills and perch (perhaps others also). On weekends the trail gets...More

This park is busy but still fun to visit on weekends. It's extra peaceful during the week days. When we visit, we often bike the Lake Galena loop which is about 6 miles. Be sure to bring plenty of water if you decide to bike...More

Peace Valley is great for walking, hiking, birding. Many trails go around the lake and through various habitats. Start at the nature center for maps and info, or just sit in the bird blind and see the birds at the feeders.

This is my go-to spot for scenic walking, picnicking, kayaking, and finding my peace of mind and spirit here. Just driving up and seeing the lake in the distance is a beautiful sight. You aren't too far from civilization--you can pick up your picnic foods...More

I love this park. It's six and a half miles all the way around the lake but you can just walk part of it and turn around. There are few inclines so it's great for those who prefer flat surfaces. There's a dam which is...More

I've seen many dogs jumping in the water there. I live right down the street and haven't heard of any issues?
