We go to Ridley Creek State Park for hiking but we see a lot of bikers, dog walkers, picnickers, horse back riders, fishermen, photographers and birdwatchers. The Hunting Hill Mansion seems to host many private events including weddings. The parking is ample but finding the...More

Parking is a premium. Asphalt trails and more side trails great for hiking or biking. Old mills and farm houses some very much occupied. Birds and Trout some of the wild life with Deer.

The creek itself is very lovely and changes with the seasons. Apart from the main path which is paved there are many smaller side paths for the more adventurous. Some take you right to the creek and the scenery is lovely.

I use Ridley Creek State Park regularly. The paved loop trail is terrific with varied terrain including hills. Unpaved foot-only trails extend throughout the park. The park is heavily wooded and includes one state record oak. The park is beautifully designed - even though there...More

Ridley Park around the Sycamore Mills section, where Bishop Hollow and Barren Road meet, is a great place to take the family (and/or dog) for a short or long walk! Enjoy!!

I have been walking through this State park since 1974. I have seen Blue Herons catch and consume trout. I have walked within fifteen feet of deer munching acorns. Not too long ago a resident looked out her window and saw a bear enjoying honey...More

Good for trail running, hiking, and nordic skiing (when we actually get enough snow!) The multi-use path is a 4.5 mile loop with some hills, and is the only part of the park (excluding paved parking areas and access roads) that bicycles are allowed to...More

In the past the park hosted group camping, like the Boy Scouts, but I have not seen groups there for a few years. There are no individual campsites.

Yes, there is a dam with a small waterfall. The trail runs adjacent to it.
