If you're contemplating a visit to Johnstown to "do the flood," then I recommend you start up in South Fork at the Johnstown Flood National Memorial along US 219, THEN come down to this attraction. The museum has NO parking. However, we found a meter...More

Includes a movie about the flood. We spent over 2.5 hrs there. Might be too scary for young children.

We found this museum to be very interesting. There were a lot of artifacts and the articles/photos help you get a sense of what happened. If you have the time definitely watch the film.

We went through slowly, took in the excellent film and exhibits and it was about 2 hours, maybe a tad over. Very good presentations, very interesting museum.
