Forget the Barrier Reef and the long boat rides. The reef is easy access and the colours of the coral and grasses are incredible. So much marine life: rays, turtles beautiful varieties of fish and even the occasional reef shark. Totally safe environment. You’ll know...More

Main beach nearest to resorts and shops. Protected and safe ( no rips or surf). Beware of rock areas at low tide. Able to hire equipment or book tours.

We swam here quite few times, and considering that the air temperature was probably not much more than 22C the water temp was pretty much the same. So once the sun is out, swimming is ON.

The beach with everything. Protected by the reef. The waves are small and the sand is smooth. Hire paddle boards etc and take boat tours from the beach.

This lagoon is just beautiful, no matter where you are along it, it doesn't disappoint. The corals are beautiful and if you go out in one of the glass bottomed boats you will see so many fish and if you are lucky turtles.

The lagoon beaches are fine, but keep walking up to Middle Beach. If you are there at the right time, you might find yourself swimming among the turtles that live there. Have your camera/phone with you because you could capture some great video clips.
