We perform checks on reviews.
Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Initially a bit disappointed because there seemed to be a short sandy trail through scrubby bush and nothing more. But even though the walk only took approx. 30 minutes we saw lizards, wallabies, echidna, and a black snake right in front of our feet!

Take time to enjoy this as time is as long as the moment you take to believe in such beauty. Take walk along a beach enter a palm forest and climb coastal escapement with vies of surf peeling dolphins sharing waves turtles and sharks living together with whales diving into golden pink clouds electrified by summer storms. Sit a while and loose yourself in an ancient volcanic landscape of prehistoric waterfalls, rainforest and atmospheric pink reddish mist as the sun sets. Take a day or a lifetime as this will remain in your memory forever throughout your being and believe and support that it will not be changed by human progress.

you can look over the Park from the lighthouse but there's not much you can do in the park itself except for a few beach access tracks. Fabulous rare heathland now protected forever

Arakwal National Park is only 2km from the Cape Byron lighthouse or via the Tallow Creek access.

Not as interesting as the Cape Byron Conservation Park and the light house trail, but
there are a few nice views and birdlife/ wildlife in and around the area.

You can also spot some of the hang glider's from the local hang gliding school.

Whoever complained about this beach is batcrap crazy!
No animals anywhere in sight, no trash anywhere in sight... just the most beautiful beach you could hope for!

Great for experienced surfers and beginners alike, and us old folks simply boogie boarding (in 60's)

All the beaches in Byron are dropdead gorgeous but for peace and quiet go here

You can see it from the Lighthouse - miles to walk along

While in Burleigh Heads travelled down to Byron Bay..talk about BUSY!!!!!!!!!! Labour Day weekend and the grand final of the NRL so EVERYTHING was GO GO GO!!!!!! Took 3/4 hour just to drive into township once leaving the motorway.
Were going to go up to Lighthouse but decided against that as so windy on beach and wanted to get out of hussle and mania of the town! Had read a little about the Arakwal National Park (was made out to be quite non descript which it was when entering, just sort of scrub in amongst houses but WHAT A FIND!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Hadn't been on track (and were only ones! ) when we saw wild wallaby in bush, then as we got down to beach Palm Cockatoo, then on way back heard scuffle and saw an echidna amongst the bush...breathtaking! Couldn't believe we were 5 minutes if that from town!

IF you're looking at going to an area for wildlife this would be really worth considering, don't think many go there but from what we've read you'll ALWAYS see things worth seeing..of course you have to tread gently, listen, observe but WOW it's worth it!

Beautiful walk to pristine Tallows Beach. See abundant bird life and occasionally a wallaby. This is a national park so it is a dog free zone.

Probably the best park and beach in Byron. Never crowded and beautiful. No lifeguards but plenty of other beaches have them if you are not confident in the surf. Great cultural significance to local aboriginal people.
