I'm afraid that the cafe at Etherow Country Park has out-priced me. I cannot afford their newly refurbished interior prices. So I now take my custom to the Garden Centre there, which, I find, is more reasonable and the menu is more to my taste....More

Reasonable walk, nice views and a big waterfall, unfortunately the cafe ruined the visit for us- limited if not odd menu, not particularly great for children (although they loved the ice creams.) Nice (overpriced) coffee and a scone with a nice touch of green mould...More

Gorgeous place to go out for a walk, either as a couple or for families. Buying Bird/duck food fairly cheap and money goes towards the welfare of all the wildlife.

We are regular visitors to Etherow Country Park. My first visit was 9 years ago when I finished working. Today we had a pleasant walk up to Keg Pool and around the lake followed by an excellent chip butty in the cafe.

This is a lovely country park to have a walk around, with one lake full of ducks, geese, swans, moorhens and other birds, where you can buy birdfeed to feed them, with a waterfall at one end. Also there is a model boating club at...More
