What a fantastic day out for all ages! We got on at kiddy (lovely station!) and then went onto Highly for the museum which was very good! Back on the train to Bridgenorth for dinner - had a good couple of hours here and then back to Kiddy. Full day out, bonus seeing the rhinos and camels as we went past West Midlands safari park! Very good value for money and staff very cheerful. Thank you!

We were a coach party and our seats were allocated so I don't know if this always happens but not everyone liked to travel backwards. However it was a good trip taking us back to the days of steam.

Our very good friends Mary and Peter Dickenson (from Fladbury) booked us all onto the Kidderminster to Bridgnorth trip in a private 6 berth compartment. What a brilliant day out it was. Excellent facilities at Kidderminster station. They even have Bathams bitter !. The train journey travels through some fantastic countryside. Lovely pub at Bridgnorth station and in town and the location itself is wonderful. Lots to do and see. Would thoroughly recommend it and what a luxury on some peoples doorsteps.

Me and my mates recently booked to go on the SVR and even though we had booked the 4 person compartment, we were given a 6 person one, which was great. We just missed out on the reopening of the hop on hop off service but still managed to spend a few hours in Bridgnorth and then gof off in Bewdley on the way back, getting a taxi back to Kidderminster. The journey itself is about an hour to Bridgnorth and has some beautiful scenery and the novelty of seeing elephants, deer and rhinos in the safari park on the way past. I would say Bridgnorth and Bewdley are the too most important places to hop on if you aren't from the area. Both are lovely towns with plenty of places to eat and drink. I highly recommend the SVR for a day out.
