My husband and I decided to check this place out on our recent trip to Erie - it's a fun and informative stop for the whole family. There are hands on, interactive exhibits, as well as regular features that are kid friendly. Exhibits offer regional...More

This environment center can teach you so many things all about Erie's wildlife, eco systems, lake and other outside activities. It has a movie theatre that offers things like the lake sea life and what are actually in Lake Erie. Lots of walking. Wear comfortable...More

We spent about 45 minutes here on a Sunday morning, our first visit. Admission is free and we began with the free 15-minute introductory film about the changing seasons, ecology, and geology of the isle. We took the elevator to the top of the observation...More

Our visit was in mid-October so most of the activities are over for the season. We did go up in the observation tower which has a nice view of the lake. A few of the exhibits had broken gizmos which need repair.

We stopped here expecting to kill an hour or so. I was wrong. We were here half a day, and the kids still weren't bored or wanting to leave. If you have younger kids and need to stay inside on a rainy day, this is...More

This is the place to go before Presque Isle Park. The information desk was great in informing us of not only what to do but what to avoid based on current conditions in the park (such as muddy trails and even wind conditions). The lookout...More

I was surprised when I entered & learned there was no admission free. The films, however, are $5 each which I didn't mind at all. Four different ones are shown each day so it would be a little pricey if you wanted to watch all...More
