The tower is open to the public. You can climb the tower and get a good view of the area including both directionss on the lake.

Nice elevator ride to the top. Tickets are not expensive. Would recommend as part of your visit to Erie. We saw all kinds of boats and ships, and got great pictures!

A nice view of the city, the bay and a peek at the Lake. Worth the walk (or pay for the elevator) if it is a crystal clear day.
