I know this place is very small, but the history behind the battlefield is simply a must stop if you are in the area. Nice little gift shop and it is directly off US-1 so it is not hard to find..definitely make some time if...More

This small historic site may not be worth the stop if you're not really into history. It's an average park with not a whole not to offer. The tour, shop and museum are closed Monday and Tuesday, but the actual grounds are open (they may...More

A small, interesting museum staffed by knowledgeable and interested people. The state historic park sits mostly on the site of the Continental Army's encampment. To get an idea of the scale of the battle itself (the largest in terms of the number of soldiers and...More

It was a place where George Washington actually did sleep(although I suspect not too soundly!) It was interesting to hear about the battle, see a movie, tour a historic house, and see some artifacts. This is a great stop for history buffs.

I have been to most of the major battlefields of the Revolutionary and Civil War. The Brandywine battlefield is ok. My problem with it is that it is hard to follow. Most of it is mixed into lightly populated residential areas.Even with the map ($3)...More

Recently made a return visit to Brandywine Battlefield, previously visited 15 years ago. It has improved greatly. I can tell more attention is being paid to bring this famous location into better visitor destination. Better docents-much more qualified. They still regard Brandywine as a American...More
