Very manageable museum, not overwhelming. Lots of history involving local artists. Very interesting. Cafe is very affordable and food is good. Bookstore has lots to offer not only for adults but children as well.

This meseum is in a lovely setting among trees and natural plants on the Brandywine Creek. Allow about two hours to see the museum and to take a walk along the river path.

Take a few hours and view the great works of art on display. Give yourself at least an hour to walk around and see the art. Lots of great pieces.

Where else can you get this view? Watch the canoes and kayaks float down the Brandywine while enjoying lunch. It is rarely crowded. Food is far better than most museum fare (except maybe Phila. Art Museum when I was last there). Reasonable priced, seasonal menu...More

Have not been to Barnes museum in Philadelphia, but Wyeth works are likely different except maybe when Brandywine museum loans out works from its permanent collection.
